Project Beauty Share

Like most people I spend a lot of time on Youtube. I have especially loved watching declutter and minimalism style videos. I don’t know what it is, but something about declutter and minimalism makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Maybe it is the idea of living a minimalist lifestyle. I am really not sure. Anyway, a few weeks ago I was watching a vlog from JAMbeauty89 (Jessica Braun) and it was just one of her low key declutter and talk type of videos. I was sifting through the comments and one of the biggest questions I saw was what was she going to do with all of this makeup and skincare that she was getting out of her collection. One of her subscribers mentioned something about a non-profit called Project Beauty Share. I was intrigued by this suggestion and decided to do a little research and find out what this was all about.

Project Beauty Share is a non-profit located in Spokane, Washington. They accept new and gently used beauty and makeup items to give to women in need. These women they serve may be overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness and poverty. To me this is an awesome thing because where I live, we don’t have a shelter that accepts gently used items like that. Therefore, most of my decluttered makeup ends up in the garbage if I don’t have someone close to me that wants it. Personally, I strongly believe in helping your local community when you can. If you have a shelter that will accept those items you don’t want or need anymore, then you should definitely take your items to them! Helping others is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your community and for your soul. I have two small boxes that I need to ship out next week. I filmed a video to kind of go into detail about the things I decluttered and am sending to this charity.
